Rearcross 'B' Player of the Year 2011 / 2012

Derek produced a number of outstanding displays for Rearcross 'B' during the season and
is a deserving recipient of the Liam Caplis Shield for the 2011/2012 season. It was indeed
a tough campaign for Rearcross 'B' after losing some key players, however Derek was a
consistent performer throughout and gave whole hearted defensive displays at right full
and was also a threat going forward. A tough and solid tackler, the Foilduff native led by
example encouraging his team mates and without lecture. This is a first Player of the Year
accolade for Derek and no doubt there will be more honours for Derek in the seasons ahead.
